About Tuscany Wedding List

Tuscany Wedding List is an independent editorial directory and planning resource for couples getting married in Tuscany — most of them planning it from another country, in a language they do not speak, for a place they have visited twice.

It is published by Den Lille Redaksjonen and operated by Skarya Tech. The company behind it is Skaar Media AS, Stronda 4, 4329 Sandnes, Norway, registered under number 931 122 398.

Right now the site covers 131 vendors across 13 categories, 11 areas of Tuscany, 12 planning guides and 20 articles.

How the directory is put together

Listings are editorial. A vendor appears because we found them and thought a couple planning a Tuscany wedding would want to know about them — not because they asked, and not because they paid. Nobody can buy a place on this site or a higher position in a list.

Entries marked Editor's pick are ones we would point a friend to first. That is a judgement, not a certification.

What “Checked” means — and what it does not

A listing marked Checked means one of us has confirmed three things against a published source, and that source is named on the listing page along with the date: the business exists, it works in Tuscany, and it offers the kind of service we have filed it under.

That is all it means. We have not audited anyone's insurance, licensing, contracts, availability or prices, and we have not inspected anyone's work. Do your own checks and read the contract before you pay a deposit.

Listings without the mark are ones we have not been able to confirm yet. We leave them up and say so, rather than quietly implying they passed a check they have not had. Where a check showed an entry did not belong here — a venue that turned out to be in Umbria, a company with no Tuscan presence, a business we could not find at all — we removed it.

What we are not

We are not a wedding planner, a booking agent or a travel agency, and we are not a party to any contract you sign with a vendor. When you use the enquiry form, we pass your brief on — what happens next is between you and them.

How the site is paid for

Placement and order are editorial, and are not for sale. No vendor can buy a listing, a higher position, or a better description. That is the promise, and it is the one we intend to keep whatever else changes.

Today the site carries no advertising and we have no commercial agreements with any vendor listed here. In future we expect to earn money in two ways: advertising, and a fee from vendors for enquiries we send them. Neither will affect who we list or in what order — a vendor who pays us will sit in the same list, in the same place, as one who does not.

If and when that starts, it will be described here and in our terms before the first invoice, not after. If you ever find a page where that is not true, tell us.

About the photography

The photographs on vendor and location pages are illustrative. They show the kind of wedding an area or category is known for; they are not pictures of the individual business listed beside them. Where we can show a venue's own photography, we say so.

Corrections

Prices, rules and availability change, and we get things wrong. If something here is out of date or inaccurate, tell us — with a source if you have one — and we will fix it.
