This policy explains how Tuscany Wedding List ("we", "us") handles personal data when you visit tuscanyweddinglist.com (the "Site"). We collect only what we need to answer your enquiries and to run the Site.

Who we are

Tuscany Wedding List is an independent editorial directory and planning resource for couples getting married in Tuscany, Italy. It is published by Den Lille Redaksjonen and operated by Skarya Tech.

What we collect

• Information you give us: name, email address, phone number, wedding date, location, budget range, guest numbers and any message you send through our enquiry, "get matched", or quote request forms.
• Technical and usage data: browser and device type, pages viewed and referring pages, collected through cookies and similar technologies once you have consented to analytics.
• A hashed form of your IP address: when you submit a form, we store a one-way hash of your IP address — never the address itself — purely to limit how many submissions can come from one connection in an hour.
• Which wording you consented to: we record a version number for the consent text that was shown on the form when you submitted it, so we can tell later exactly what you agreed to.

How we use your data

• To answer your enquiry and, where you asked for it, to introduce you to relevant wedding vendors.
• To understand how the Site is used and improve our content.
• To measure how the site is used, once you have accepted analytics.
• To protect the enquiry forms from automated abuse.

Our legal bases are your consent (forms, marketing, non-essential cookies), our legitimate interest in operating, securing and improving the Site, and compliance with legal obligations.

Where your form data goes

Enquiries submitted on this site are sent to our own web server, stored in a file outside the public area of the site, and emailed to us. They are not sent to any third-party form service.

We pass your enquiry on to vendors

This is the main thing we do with what you send us, so it is worth stating plainly: when you use the “get matched” or quote request forms, we forward the details you submitted to the wedding vendor or vendors your enquiry concerns, so that they can reply to you directly. That includes your name, email address, phone number if you gave one, your wedding date, location, guest count, budget range and anything you wrote in the message.

We only forward it to vendors relevant to what you asked for, and only when you have submitted a form that asks for it. Once a vendor has your details, their own privacy policy governs what they do with them — they are a separate controller, not a processor acting for us. If you would rather browse without being introduced to anyone, do not use the enquiry forms; nothing else on this site asks who you are.

You give that consent by submitting the form, and the wording you agreed to is recorded with your enquiry. You can withdraw it at any time by emailing us, though we cannot recall a message a vendor has already received.

Other sharing

We use service providers that process data on our behalf, including our hosting provider, our email provider and Google Analytics. We never sell your personal data.

Cookies and advertising

We use essential cookies to run the site, and — only with your consent — analytics cookies. We do not currently show ads, and no advertising cookies are set. You can opt out of personalised Google advertising at Google Ads Settings or via aboutads.info. See our cookie policy for what is set today and how to change your choice.

Data retention

We keep enquiry data for 365 days from the day you send it, then delete it. Vendors we forwarded it to keep it under their own policies, not ours. Analytics data follows Google's standard retention settings.

Your rights

Under the GDPR you can request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data, object to or restrict our processing, withdraw consent, and request data portability. Email hello@tuscanyweddinglist.com and we will respond within 30 days. You also have the right to complain to your local data protection authority.

Children

The Site is not directed at children and we do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 16.

Changes

We may update this policy. The "last updated" date above always shows the current version.
