PhotoBooth 800

PhotoBooth 800 is photographer Michele Pero's travelling wet-plate collodion portrait experience for weddings and events. Instead of a digital booth, it uses a vintage wooden camera, metal tintype plates and a portable darkroom to demonstrate a photographic process dating to 1851. Singles or groups can be photographed, and each plate is developed on site and delivered during the event. The standard plate measures approximately 13 by 18 centimetres, with larger formats possible by arrangement. The complete setup needs roughly three-by-three to five-by-five metres. Because each plate takes around four or five minutes, typical production is about twelve to fifteen plates per hour rather than portraits of every guest. The service travels through Tuscany, Umbria and Marche and elsewhere by arrangement. Couples should confirm the package, plate count, schedule, travel and safe indoor or weather-protected workspace.
