The Antico Spedale del Bigallo at Bagno a Ripoli, outside Florence, is a medieval hospice complex used today for events, weddings, and photo and film shoots. Its Oratory of Santa Caterina, built in 1354, is a single rectangular space with an apse, decorated with Renaissance frescoes of the life of Saint Catherine, and now used for art exhibitions, cultural festivals and weddings. The site also describes the sixteenth-century Fonte della Fata Morgana nearby without stating how it is used.
